Science Cafes began in France, modeled after cafe scientifique, an informal discussion arena for the public to connect with scientific experts in a casual environment such as a pub or coffee house. In the US, science cafes are widely popular (www.sciencecafes.org), including two run by NWABR (Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint Science on Tap). For more information, please contact Jeanne T.
